Jakubowski will continue as president of Tauron Basket Liga.

Jacek Jakubowski is a very experienced manager, who has great knowledge of Polish sports. I am convinced that he will be an excellent addition to the Professional League of Football. We mutually agreed that Mr. Jakubowski will work for the Tauron Basket Liga until the the end of the season. Simultaneously, he will take over new responsibilities in Ekstraklasa SA. It is the most reasonable compromise and we express concern about the right development of the both sports, basketball and football.

The offer to Jacek Jakubowski shows that his work in basketball is very highly appreciated. The condition of Polish Basketball League is good and stable, which was confirmed during latest Shareholders Meeting in December 2010. Jacek Jakubowski’s cooperation with Ekstraklasa SA will not change it. Mr. Jakubowski will continue his duties within Polish Basketball League. After the latest change of the board in the Polish Basketball Federation in January we are in a transition period. We introduce changes to Polish basketball operations. There is no doubt that we will continue to use Jacek Jakubowski’s experience in basketball world.
Jacek Jakubowski graduated from the College of Physical Education in Gdańsk (sports managers faculty) and University of Gdańsk (foreign trading). From 1996 to 2009 he was bound with Trefl SSA, which ran Trefl Sopot, Prokom Trefl Sopot and Asseco Prokom Sopot/Gdynia basketball teams. He was a arenas' manager of EuroBasket 2009. Since January 2010 he is the president of the board of Polish Basketball League.
