Game day routine

Another close game for us tonight in Wroclaw. Polonia played unbelievable tonight and their foreign players were hard for us to stop.

It seemed like they made every play and we could not hold on to the lead. We found a way to win the game though and it just shows me again that anyone in this league can beat any other team on a given night. If you’re not ready to play you will get beat. The Slask Fans were great again tonight. With the game being on Monday we did not know how the crowd would be but they were great and helped us win this game. So thank you for coming out and your great support.

Being a game day there are some certain things that I need to do every game day to get ready to play. I think most athletes like to do the same things to be comfortable to get ready to play and they develop a rhythm. For ex&le I always eat the same things for a home game. When were on the road we eat together as a team so we have to eat whatever they ordered for us. At home though, I always eat a turkey sandwich, apples and Gronola bar exactly four hours before the game. This way I am not hungry during the game but also not to much food to be uncomfortable. I also have to take a nap on the day of the game. The amount of time does not matter but I have to sleep at some point and time. I try to always go on the court at the same time and warm up the same as well. It may seem a little weird but I think most professional athletes in all sports are the same, it just makes them feel comfortable and gets them in the right mind set to play.

My wife and I enjoy going to the movies (cinema as they call it here in Europe) and we try to go at least once every two weeks. In the last three weeks we have seen "The Departed" (infiltracia - I believe is the polish translation) Casino Royale 007 and Borat! I highly recommend "The Departed" it was a very good meaning with a lot of well known movie stars. The movie had a good story and does not end the way most movies do which I enjoyed as well. Casino Royale was ok at best. If you have seen most James Bond movies you know he has invincibility about him, but this one was a little different. Not like most James Bond movies and I was not a big fan of that because I like all the old ones. As for Borat, it had some funny parts but it was really stupid and short, but I guess a lot of people will go to see it.

Everyone have a good week and hope to see many Slask fans in Ostrow next week.
