ŁKS made a huge surprise for their fans, who waited 30 years for a victory in the highest basketball league in Poland. The team from Łódź was winning almost from the beginning to the end, mostly relying on their three-point shooters - Bartłomiej Szczepaniak and Jermaine Mallett. ŁKS played great defence and Anwil could not get their best in the paint area - they did not take advantage of their big men. Dardan Berisha and Krzysztof Szubarga did not have their day - they both had only 9/26 from the field.
The best shooter in the victorious team was Mallett, who scored 26 points. Kirk Archibeque also played good, having 12 points and 14 rebounds. John Allen scored 18 for Anwil.
