Finał, mecz 7: Złoty Asseco Prokom Gdynia!

Asseco Prokom Gdynia został mistrzem Polski sezonu 2011/2012! W decydującym siódmym spotkaniu finału Tauron Basket Ligi gdynianie pokonali Trefl Sopot 76:68 i wygrali całą serię 4:3. Najlepszym zawodnikiem spotkania był Donatas Motiejunas, który zdobył 23 punkty i 11 zbiórek.

Huge emotions in the last game of the finals in Gdynia. Asseco Prokom became the champion of Poland for the ninth time in a row. The hosts began the game very well and were winning in the first quarter even 14:5 after Przemysław Frasunkiewicz shot. They were playing even better in the second quarter. After a couple of threes made by Przemysław Zamojski the team from Gdynia lead 41:21. The situation changed in the next parts of the game. Trefl started to get closer at the end of the third quarter. The last part of the game was very close, as the guests were having a 10:0 run at the beginning. After Saulius Kuzminskas’ free throw they were loosing only by three. Unfortunately Asseco Prokom had Jerel Blassingame on their roster – his individual actions gave them victory at the end. The team from Gdynia was more effective throughout the whole game.

The best player on the court was Donatas Motiejunas with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Filip Dylewicz shot 22 points for Trefl.
